These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Dog Gone Spoiled website, online booking system, and the pet grooming and related services we provide (collectively, the "Services"). Dog Gone Spoiled ("Dog Gone Spoiled," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Services to you ("you," the "Client," or "Owner").
By submitting a form on this website, booking an appointment online, dropping off a pet, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
You will use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and any instructions we provide. You represent that you are the lawful owner of any pet brought to us, or that you are authorized by the lawful owner to bring the pet for grooming. You will not: (a) misrepresent your pet's health, temperament, or history; (b) bring a pet that is sick, contagious, or recently vaccinated within an unsafe window; (c) interfere with our staff or other clients' pets; or (d) use the Services in any manner that creates risk to people, pets, or our facility.
Services are provided by appointment. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to begin your appointment at the scheduled time, but exact start and finish times may vary based on each pet's coat, behavior, and condition. You agree to arrive on time for drop-off and to be reachable by phone during your pet's appointment in case we need to contact you regarding your pet's grooming, health, or behavior.
All pets must be current on rabies and other vaccinations recommended by a licensed veterinarian and required by Rhode Island law. We may request proof of vaccination at any time and may refuse service if proof is not provided. You must disclose any known medical conditions, allergies, skin sensitivities, recent surgeries, seizures, joint issues, or behavioral concerns prior to grooming. Pets showing signs of contagious illness, fleas, ticks, or active infection may be turned away or charged additional fees for required treatments and sanitation.
You must disclose any history of biting, aggression, fear-based reactivity, or handling difficulty before service. We reserve the right to stop a groom at any point if your pet becomes a safety risk to itself, our staff, or other animals. In such cases, you agree to pay for services completed up to that point and to retrieve your pet promptly. If a pet bites a staff member, you agree to provide vaccination records and may be responsible for related medical and reporting costs to the extent permitted by law.
Severely matted coats can hide skin conditions, sores, warts, or injuries that are not visible until the coat is removed. De-matting is painful for the pet and is generally not in the pet's best interest; in those cases we will recommend a short shave-down. You acknowledge that grooming a matted, senior, or special-needs pet carries inherent risks including, without limitation, nicks, clipper irritation, hematomas, stress-related symptoms, and the post-groom revelation of pre-existing skin or health conditions. By using the Services, you authorize Dog Gone Spoiled to perform the grooming approach we determine is safest for your pet, including a shave-down where appropriate, and you release us from liability for issues arising from or revealed by the condition of the coat.
Prices are based on breed, size, coat condition, behavior, and the services requested. Final pricing may differ from initial estimates if a pet's coat or behavior requires additional time, products, or handling. We will communicate material price changes before completing service when reasonably possible.
We may require a non-refundable deposit to hold an appointment, particularly for new clients, large dogs, or first-time matted-coat appointments. Deposits will be applied to the final invoice for the booked appointment when it is completed as scheduled.
Payment is due at the time of pickup unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods posted at our location or on our online booking system. Returned-payment, chargeback, or processor fees are your responsibility.
Additional fees may apply for severe matting, de-shedding, flea or tick treatment, sanitary work beyond standard, special handling, or appointments that run materially longer than estimated due to behavior.
We require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, no-shows, and same-day reschedules may be charged a cancellation fee equal to up to 50% of the scheduled service or may forfeit any deposit, at our discretion. Repeated no-shows may result in pre-payment requirements for future bookings or refusal of future service. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may require rescheduling.
You must pick up your pet promptly when notified that grooming is complete. Pets remaining at our facility past closing time or beyond a reasonable pickup window may be subject to a late-pickup fee. Pets not picked up within seven (7) days after the scheduled completion date and without communication from the Owner may be considered abandoned and handled in accordance with applicable Rhode Island law, including transfer to an animal shelter or rescue, with all related costs charged to the Owner.
Unless you tell us in writing that you do not consent, you grant Dog Gone Spoiled a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to take photographs and short videos of your pet during or after grooming and to use them for marketing, social media, website, and promotional purposes. We will not publish your name, contact information, or your pet's name without your separate consent.
By providing your phone number or email address through this website, our booking system, or in person, you consent to receive appointment-related communications from Dog Gone Spoiled, including appointment confirmations, reminders, follow-ups, and, where you have opted in, occasional promotional messages. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of promotional SMS messages at any time by replying STOP, or unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link provided in those emails. Reply HELP for help. Transactional messages directly related to a booked appointment may continue even after opting out of promotions. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You must be at least 18 years of age to book services or accept these Terms. The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website.
We may use third-party booking platforms, payment processors, communication tools, and grooming products. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that provider's terms. We use professional-grade products in good faith based on each pet's coat type and known sensitivities, but we do not warrant any specific outcome and are not responsible for unforeseen reactions to products that have not been disclosed as concerns by the Owner.
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Grooming results depend on factors including coat condition, behavior, breed, and pre-existing health, and are not guaranteed to match any reference photo or prior result.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dog Gone Spoiled will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, sentimental value, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dog Gone Spoiled's aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms in any 12-month period will be limited to the total amounts you paid to Dog Gone Spoiled for the Services giving rise to the claim during that same 12-month period.
You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dog Gone Spoiled and its owners, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your pet's actions, including bites, injuries, or property damage; (b) your failure to disclose a pet's condition, history, or behavior; (c) your use of the Services; or (d) your breach of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation.
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate Services at any time, including for safety concerns, undisclosed health or behavior issues, repeated no-shows or late pickups, non-payment, or conduct that is abusive toward our staff. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including those relating to fees owed, releases, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
Given the nature of grooming services and the time and materials required, all completed-service fees and deposits are non-refundable except where otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing by Dog Gone Spoiled. If you are not satisfied with a completed groom, please contact us within 48 hours and we will work in good faith to address reasonable concerns, which may include a touch-up at our discretion.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will be the state or federal courts located in Rhode Island, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and, where changes are material, may provide additional notice by reasonable means. Your continued use of the Services after any updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
